Finally - the shirts can be ordered

I got word back from Sports Horizons today.

Cost = R140 per shirt (well R138.97 but I'll take the rest as commission)

Matt (XL), Cliff (L), Chris (L), Mitch (L), Fred (XL), Darren (L), Alex (L), Warren (L), Rob (XL)

Plus a few others like JC, Russel, Bryn, Gareth etc.

I'm going to order 10 L, and 4 XL so that we have spares; and anyone who I forgot doesn't have to get mad.

hhhmmmm - that's only 1 spare and it's an XL. Should I maybe order another 2 L?

Any objections - you have till tomorrow noon to say so.

I'll post here when the shirts have been collected.

That should cover everyone, and with an extra or two.

Okay, the money is rolling in (well trickling, but that's okay - i expect a flood soon)

We need a time to pass these works of art out. so I'm suggesting we get together in two weekend's time, Sunday morning (that's the 25th) at 8.30 in the am, and have a bit of a game. We'll pick teams there, and just play.

Just btw, they're really nice - good reports from the few people who have theirs. And we have one or two extra.

Okay well I have paid...the old fashioned way through a deposit in the bank but it will get there. I am very keen to play on the 25th.

Actually - Warren's deposit showed within a few hours. I was very impressed. But then I'm easily impressed. It comes from having so little self esteem.

Two reasons for that.

1. time we end
2. bright sunshine burning all the sensitive bits

I know Mitch has to go to some family thing in the afternoon. I also know I can't spend the whole day out. I've started playing in the nets at 8.30 and the dew is non-existant. Plus, if we start at 8.30, we could be finished by 12; and not have to play through the heat of the day.

Reasons for starting late:

1. We don't have to get up at 8 on a Sunday
2. We will never have enough people to play a game and it will just be nets anyway.
3. If we start at 10 we can finish by 12 and go home?

Jeez you people are the laziest bunch I've ever met. I'm up at 5.30 during the week anyways. So 8.30 IS sleeping in ...

If we get 8 people, then I'm proposing we spend some time in the middle. But not a game, more of a "batting partners" type thing, where we pick random pairs of bats, and they try and get the highest total. Equal overs per pair; and negative runs per wicket taken.

Or not.

Fuck it - I don't really mind. I will be there at 9.30. Maybe earlier.

Okay,

So we have Steve, Mitch, Rebel, Fred and myself keen for an early start.

We have Ceek, Matt and Da Guvna keen for a later start.

Gareth is an unlikely, but keen starter, as is Keith and JC.

I'm tired of trying to find a compromise. It makes it not as much fun. So I will be there from 8.30. Come when you want, if you want. I will likely be there until about 10.30 or so.

People who need to collect shirts include: Mitch, Guvna, Chris and Warren. Matt assures me he will also be on that list before Sunday. If anyone of you can't make it - then nominate someone who can take the bloody thing off my hands for you.

Hopefully I'll see you all at the nets on Sunday morning.
