OCC Rules of Engagement

I don't care if you like it or not i want to define the rules properly this time beyore we play.

Usual cricket rules apply with wides being counted only if the ball is outside the crease on either side.

I think there should be a 10 ball maximum over as i feel 8 is too little and allows people to bowl 8 wides and have their over finished (something maybe bryn should think about doing ;)).

We should play 25 overs a side. There should be 2 close catchers for the first 7 overs.

We should introduce time restrictions although i acknowledge so far we haven't even made it to 25 overs.

I am thinking 90minutes an innings? Is that too little?

We should have a drinks break after 15 overs and a lunch break at the end of the first innings.

We should have an official fines meeting afterwards. I still am in favour of charging a match fee which includes fines and something to eat? We could rotate who brings the meat and booe but each time every player will pay a small fee for this service?

Umpires are made up of members of the batting team who are not currently batting. Failing to provide an umpire at any stage or holding up the game because you are too lazy to umpire (like the MSCC) should result in a 5 run penalty.

Anything i have left out? All these rules are flexible and should be seen as a starting point for discussion not as written in stone.

I agree with CeeK - he is so sexy.

Also lets cancel the retire at 50 rule? Or ammend it to not include the final 5 overs?
