Also someone who knows how should make the attached scorecard into something we could enter data on and then keep track of stuff like averages and highest runs in one over. etc. etc. because i can't use this thing at all. Maybe if you can make a toatlly new one that keeps track of everything? Okay i can't attach xlt files so fuck it. Someone make usa scoresheet with interactive features please??

Love you guys.

I'm pretty handy at Excel. You can drop me the file if you want - I suggest an email.

Sounds like a good game. Pity I missed it.

An Access database might do the job beautifully. I'll look into writing one quickly when I have a bit of time

What do you mean by this Chris? Was he debating his wicket?

Or alternatively we posted within a minute of eachother and so I didn't see your post. If I had been a minute quicker I could be accusing YOU of having an Excel superiority complex getting up my right nostril. :blahblah:

But at this point I will graciously concede to you.

Next time Ceek ... next time.

The bachelors was great. My legs are fucked. Has anyone ever hurtled down a mine dump on a board before? You really should. I then suggest you follow it up by drinking copious amounts of booze and staring blearily at a chick as she wipes her tits in your face and masturbates inches from your nose.

Here is a very simple overall batting average for everyone who has played cricket for Oddville (Turn away Rob and read no further):

Russel: 44; 50 not out: Average: 94
Chris: 66 not out; 31; 9: Average: 53
Warren: 21 not out; 22; 8; 31 not out: Average: 41
Guy: 0 not out; 35: Average: 35
Bryn: 57 not out; 14; 27; 0: Average: 32.666667
Mitch: 38 not out; 9; 0; 2; 1: Average: 12.5
Alex: 3, 5; 8; 6: Average: 5,5
Rob: 0; 0; 1; 0: Average: 0,25

If I have made any errors please let me know so I can change them and we can keep track.

Also please submit your bowling and fielding figures:

Mine are:
36/2 off five overs; 23/ 2 off 4 and 74/3 off 6.
Overs: 15 Runs: 133 Wickets: 7 Average: 8.86 Strike rate: 19.

Fielding
1 catch no run outs.

Hmmm,

First match is a tough one, as I can't remember how many I went for. I bowled 4 overs, no wickets, and went at about 9 an over - say 10 for modesty sake.

Second is easier: 3-0-16-2 (or was it three ... I got a caught and bowled, and I took Freddies middle stump - there may have been another one, but I can't remember)

So that makes it 2 innings; 7-0-56-2.

Cripes I have awful figures ... r.p.o of 8, and a strike rate of 21.

I also have 1 catch, no runouts. How was I dismissed? I think all bowled ...

I couldn't unprotect the sheet so i didn't fill anything in. :(

Bacrhelors sounds cool.

I have taken two catches and a run-out and my bowling figures are somewhere up there. I don't want to think about what they were on that first day....

Okay - so how are we to start a proper record of averages and stats?

Do you have the paper scorecard? Do you want to send that to me, or do you just want me to write an app for you to record it all, and then you have custody of the data?

Umm the scores are all stated above. I can scan in the actual scoresheets if that helps?

I don't mind who hangs onto the data or who enters it but if someone really awnts to they can do it? Otherwise maybe we could have a rotational system?

Wish i had thought of scanning the things in instead of writing all that stuff out yesterday!! Will scan in and post here anyway!

Thanks - the written out scores above are a summary. We need the ball by ball to work out proper stats.

If we want to do this properly I suggest we start from this match. Any disagreements? I'm guessing Mitch and Bryn may have a few words to say here ...

I say we keep the batting from the first games but not the bowling ;)

Also in this game pol hasn't kept track of balls faced. Well she started from half way through. Don't know what to do about that? Unless we assume that all runs have been acquired at run a ball?

Am scannig the pesky cards in but i keep having to work in between....

I have absolutely no personal reason for saying this, but I think we
should start tracking averages from the next game we play.
thank you.

Thank you - I will work on this when I have time. And I have to feel like it.

I'm suggesting the following - we will take account of prior batting performances, and assume the same strike-rate as existing data. If no data exists - strike-rate = 100.

For bowling figures, everyone seems to have difficulty remembering their exact performance. Lets leave them out of it.

That sounds good to me Alex!! When you are making the system make it easy to input the data!! Sorry i suppose that isn't really very helpful is it?

And bowled like 4 full tosses. I was fielding at square leg. Anyway i am just giving you shit you batted really well for your runs and it is too bad i stranded you as you were looking good for a 50+ innings.
